What makes you most likely to achieve your personal goals?
Believing that it's a possible achievement
Believing that you are the kind of person that can do it
Believing that you are capable of change
" You may have been assaulted with overly positive motherly quotes this week, so I'll spare you another." - ME TO YOU, ON THIS DAY
What does our relationship with our mom affect?
Beliefs about what's possible in the world
How we see ourselves
How we learn and grow and carry that skillet into adulthood
So what if you've got a less than ideal relationship with your mom?
Does it mean you're f*cked?
No. No it does not. Not at all.
You are capable and deserving and worthy of anything you want, just because you want it.
You never have to "fix" your relationship with your mother. You don't need to be fixed.
You are not broken.
You never have been and you never were.
What this optional opportunity is about is the relationship that you have to yourself, how it affects your money goals, how it affects what you believe is possible for you, and your likelihood to grow and learn in new areas that you haven't been able to in the past.
What, if anything, resonates with you?
This one's for the daughters. You can substitute/swap any title as needed.
I'm writing from the perspective that I know:
I have a mother. I have a daughter.
I am a mother. I am a daughter.
This month, I'm going to both honor and address our mothers and how our mothers may affect our relationship to money.
